MyPhotoAI Cookie Policy

Effective date: July 15, 2026

This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage MyPhotoAI uses, what each one is for, and how long it lasts. It is written from the code, so it should match exactly what your browser is holding. If something here does not match what you see, please tell us at [email protected].

We group storage into three buckets. Only the first is on by default. Nothing in the analytics or advertising buckets loads until you allow it, and you can change your mind at any time.

Your choices

You choose what we may use when you first arrive. Rejecting is a single click, and it is exactly as easy as accepting. You can reopen your choices whenever you like:

Turning a category off stops us loading anything new from it and clears the cookies it already set. Scripts already running in the page stay until you reload it.

Essential (always on)

Without these the site cannot do what you asked it to. They are never used for advertising.

  • cc_cookie

Remembers the cookie choices you made here, so we do not ask again on every page.

    Type:
    Cookie
    Set by:
    MyPhotoAI
    How long:
    6 months
  • myphotoai_session

Keeps you signed in between visits.

    Type:
    Local storage
    Set by:
    MyPhotoAI
    How long:
Until you sign out or clear your browser

Analytics (you choose)

These tell us which pages people use and where they run into trouble.

  • _ga, _gid

Google Analytics: counts visits and shows us which pages people use.

    Type:
    Cookie
    Set by:
    Google
    How long:
_ga: 2 years, _gid: 24 hours
  • ph_*

PostHog: shows us where people get stuck in the product so we can fix it.

    Type:
    Cookie
    Set by:
    MyPhotoAI (self-hosted PostHog)
    How long:
    1 year
  • mpai_attribution

Records which page or campaign first brought you here, so we can tell which of our marketing actually works.

    Type:
    Local storage
    Set by:
    MyPhotoAI
    How long:
    Until you clear your browser

We also run two page-view counters, Umami and Plausible, on our own servers. Neither one sets a cookie or builds a profile of you, and we do not send that data to anyone else.

Advertising (you choose)

These let us see which ads actually bring people here, so we stop paying for the ones that do not. We do not sell your data, and we never share your photos with advertisers.

  • _fbp, _fbc

Meta Pixel: measures which ads bring people to the site.

    Type:
    Cookie
    Set by:
    Meta
    How long:
_fbp: 3 months, _fbc: 3 months

Cookies set by other companies

When you allow a category, the companies below may set their own cookies. Their handling of that data is governed by their policies, not ours:

Managing cookies in your browser

Your browser can block or delete cookies independently of the choices you make here. Blocking the essential ones will sign you out and may stop parts of the site working. Browser settings are usually under Privacy, Cookies, or Site data.
