More control over your hairstyle and jewelry
· Appearance controls v1 · Available for new web shoots
Details such as your hairstyle and unexpected jewelry can make a portrait feel unfamiliar. We added optional appearance preferences so you can tell us what matters before your shoot starts.
Set the details you care about
After preparing your reference photos, open the Looks step and expand Hair and jewelry preferences. Choose a hairstyle and length when those details matter to you.
For example, you can select Locs and Waist length. Leave either field unset when you do not want to specify it. Your selections guide the instructions used for your new shoot.
- Hair choices include locs, braids, afro, curly, wavy, straight and bald.
- No added jewelry is the default. Choose Use selected look's jewelry if you want the accessories described by that look.
- Prepare 10 to 15 clear, recent reference photos. Include views that show your current hair and its length.
What changed in the shoot instructions
We separated jewelry from clothing in our style descriptions. Ordinary looks no longer add jewelry by default, and your confirmed hair preferences take precedence over the hairstyle described by a look.
This is a change to appearance settings and prompt instructions in the existing image system. We have not switched the underlying model as part of this release.
Keep telling us what feels wrong
Gallery feedback can now carry the context of the displayed shoot or a photo you select as an example. That helps us investigate which instructions were used. Older feedback without that context stays unattributed.
We are observing normal customer shoots before making claims about improved likeness or satisfaction. We have no measured improvement score to announce with this release.
What to keep in mind
- AI can still change facial features, hair, clothing and accessories. Appearance preferences guide generation; exact details and likeness are not guaranteed.
- A close crop can hide the full length of long hair. Check both the framing and the generated details before using a portrait.
- Use these preferences when setting up a new shoot. Each new shoot requires a new purchase.
