MyPhotoAI vs Media.io: Credit Expiry and Headshot Scope

Media.io sells memberships and credits across several AI tools. Its current public pricing view showed Standard at a $7.99 monthly equivalent, billed US$95.88 annually, with 200 credits per month.1 That is not the same commitment as buying one portrait shoot. MyPhotoAI's current US Starter offer includes 3 HD photos for US$5 from one shoot.2

Check the exact headshot route

Media.io's headshot page contains a generation interface and a walkthrough that names Pixpic and asks for multiple selfies.3 We did not establish that every general Media.io plan buys a particular Pixpic headshot package. Confirm the selected tool, its account route and the per-task charge before buying a general credit balance.

A maximum-image label on a multi-tool plan is not a verified headshot allowance. The selected feature and its current credit consumption must establish that link. Do not assume that one credit always equals one portrait you can keep.

Match the credit type to your usage date

Media.io credit type Validity described in its rules Buying implication
Subscription credits Billing-cycle validity; annual credits issued in monthly batches Budget use within each batch
Purchased credits Two years Separate from a recurring membership allowance
Daily login credits 24 hours and not stackable Do not assume they accumulate for a later shoot

These are the provider's current credit rules, not a test of an account balance.4 Check the conditions of the selected offer if it differs from the general page.

An annual bill is not one annual pool

Media.io's rules say annual subscription credits arrive in batches and unused credits from a batch do not carry into the next.4 Paying for a year therefore does not mean you can save every monthly allowance for one later project.

For a plan listing 200 credits per month, write down when you would actually use the service. If your only task is one profile update, compare the full annual bill with that task, rather than the monthly-equivalent label alone. No image count is calculated here because the exact chosen headshot charge was not established.

Compare the one-shoot alternative

MyPhotoAI's current US offer has Starter at US$5 for 3 HD photos, Plus at US$10 for 10 and Everything at US$10 for all photos from one shoot.2 Payment precedes personalized generation. The offer has no subscription, and another shoot is another purchase.

That scope does not include Media.io's wider editing or video suite. If those ongoing tools are useful to you, include them in the decision. If you only need a portrait, avoid buying unused scope merely because a plan contains many features.

Download the credit-expiry planner. Record the exact route, full bill, credit type, usage date and action cost. Then inspect the actual portrait for likeness before publishing it.
