Alter AI's public cards list Starter at $14.99 for 40 headshots, Basic at $24.99 for 80 and Premium at $34.99 for 120. Their reprocessing allowances are none, once and twice respectively.1 MyPhotoAI's current US Starter offer is US$5 for 3 HD photos from one shoot.2
This comparison is published by MyPhotoAI from official pages checked October 19, 2026. We have not purchased Alter AI, requested reprocessing or compared matched-person results. The cards describe an offer, not a tested likelihood of getting a portrait you will use.
Separate candidates, styles and another attempt
| Alter AI card | Displayed price | Headshots | Styles | Reprocessing label |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $14.99 | 40 | 10 | None |
| Basic | $24.99 | 80 | 20 | Once |
| Premium | $34.99 | 120 | 30 | Twice |
Confirm currency and the actual selected offer before paying. An extra attempt is a separate allowance from the initial candidate count. Do not multiply the table's headshot count by the reprocessing label and advertise that arithmetic as guaranteed usable downloads.
Decide what another attempt would change
Alter AI describes reprocessing with a different reference set intended to address problems in the first result.1 That is a different operation from retouching one selected portrait.
Before deciding that a retry allowance is valuable, write the problem and the proposed input change. For example: replace old references with recent photos, remove heavily filtered images or supply less repetitive angles. More attempts with the same unresolved input problem need not solve it.
Use the input-photo guide before the first purchase. After results arrive, the retake decision guide distinguishes a local correction, an included redo and another paid shoot.
Do not buy a tier for its label
A buyer who only needs a few finished files has a different task from someone needing many genuinely different looks. Assign a destination to each extra look before paying for a larger selection.
Likewise, a redo provision is not an editing service, a cash refund or a promise of a satisfactory next result. Read the current eligibility and request procedure in the actual offer. We have not tested how Alter AI applies it to an individual order.
Keep MyPhotoAI's scope explicit
MyPhotoAI's current US options also include 10 HD photos for US$10 or all photos from one shoot for US$10.2 Payment precedes personalized generation. There is no subscription in that offer; another shoot requires another purchase. Everything does not mean unlimited reruns.
Download the package-and-reprocessing worksheet. Alter AI may fit when its selected package and actual reprocessing entitlement matter to the brief. MyPhotoAI may fit a smaller shoot requirement in its available looks. We do not claim one service preserves identity better.
